Curiosity grows into a hobby that develops into a passion. I’ve grown up wanting to see the world and cultivating a diverse collection of professions and life experiences.
An early interest in Asia took me to China and Taiwan to study minority cultures, Mandarin, and Chinese history. Professionally, I have worked in top restaurants in the US, opened cafes in China, and worked in architecture and urban design. Currently, I am a partner in the Venice Beach restaurant Fig Tree Café & Marketplace, lead creative and business development for the Los Angeles based fragrance brand Apothia, contribute to cookbooks and help brands with concept and branding development.
Outside of my work-life, I spend time outside in the sun, often in the ocean, playing tennis, or cooking with close friends.
The images included are mostly shot on film using a Nikon FM and a range of lenses: 50mm, 28mm, 200mm and telephoto. The stories are listed in no particular order, and worked on over stretches of time and in different places.
